King Executive Search, Inc. is a retained executive search firm located in Orange County, California. We serve clients across the country in a broad spectrum of industries and recruit across many functional lines. Paul King is the President and founder of King Executive Search, Inc. With over a decade of experience successfully conducting senior level search assignments for industry leading companies, he brings a wealth of understanding and knowledge to the retained search process.
Prior to establishing King Executive Search, Mr. King was a Client Partner and key contributor in the Houston office of Korn/Ferry International where he completed numerous searches within the broadly defined energy industry. Specific energy sectors with which Mr. King holds experience include Power and Gas Utilities (both regulated and non-regulated), Merchant Energy, Oilfield Services, Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Engineering & Construction and Consulting.
Sectors outside of the energy industry for which Mr. King has completed work include Advanced Technology, Software, Not-For-Profit and Real Estate. Functionally, Mr. King has completed searches for Senior Management and C-level executives in the areas of Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Operations, Strategy and Planning, Legal and Energy Trading & Risk Management.
In addition, Mr. King has more than a decade of investment management, marketing and real estate management experience in a range of businesses including First USA Capital Markets Inc., Lorillard Tobacco, Nevada Retail Inc. and King Property Holdings, LLC.
Mr. King is active in the community, currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce as well as participates on the Chamber’s Executive Committee and The Commodores Club. Additionally, he is on the board of the Eastbluff Foundation and serves on the Early Evenings Committee at Mingei International Museum. He remains actively involved in the Alumni Associations of the University of Southern California and Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Mr. King was born and raised in San Diego, California and now resides in Newport Beach, California with his wife and son. He holds a BS in finance from the University of Southern California and is series 7 and 63 licensed.
